High Pressure Science Society of America, (HiPSSA) will host the fifth meeting of the Study of Matter at Extreme Conditions (SMEC). The focus of the meeting will be to promote interdisciplinary research in the fields of geophysics, solid state physics, high pressure physics and chemistry and materials science. The meeting will be held from from March 23 to March 30 2013 on a cruise ship sailing from the port of Miami to the Caribbean Islands.
(Contributed paper for oral presentation will be accommodated if there is a time slot available, otherwise it will be presented as a poster.)
The Celebrity Reflection is proving to be very popular and as a result there is a need to make your reservation ASAP .
Although the ocean-view and balcony cabins may not be available, the cabin reservation coninues until Jan 12, 2013

Poster Session
Poster presenters are requested to give an oral presentation for 10 minutes or less. The oral session will be followed by poster presentations.
Registration Procedure

1. registration and abstract submission on the conference web page
2. reservation of the ship cabin by the travel agent (detailed instruction)
Conference Fee
Regular registration fee: $150 ($200 after Feb 15, 2013)
Students: $75 ($100 after Feb 15, 2013)
Accompanying person: Free
Conference fees are full-refundable before Feb 15, 2013
Conference fees are non-refundable after Feb 15, 2013, except under extenuating circumstances.
